2018 EARTH OPTIMISM DAY
22/04/2018

WHAT IS EARTH OPTIMISM?

Earth Optimism is part of a growing, global movement that is changing the conversation from doom & gloom to celebrating successes in conserving biodiversity, protecting natural resources, & addressing climate change. This year’s event at CPE is a chance to learn about some of the successful projects happening around Ireland, and also to learn about what you can do in your own life to address climate change in fun and inspiring ways.

As well as a chance to experience the CPE (Cool Planet Experience), come along & take part in any or all of these talks scheduled throughout the day:

12pm - Brian Burke (Birdwatch Ireland) "Rockabill Tern Colony"
3pm - Jim Lawlor (Native Woodland Trust) -"Finding your 1,000 project"
Ongoing - “Plastic Bottle Bird Feeder” Workshop

Each talk lasts about 15 minutes, with plenty of time afterwards for questions and discussions about “what can I do?” or “how can I help?”

You can learn more about last year’s inaugural event at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC here.
